On behalf of Trinity Cathedral’s Search Committee, welcome to our Dean Search web site. We hope that you will find here helpful information about the search process, Trinity Cathedral Parish, and the City of Columbia.

This is an especially exciting time in the life of our parish. We recently returned to worship in our beautifully restored sanctuary after worshiping in Averyt Hall for more than two years while work on the Cathedral progressed. We are about to begin the celebration of our Bicentennial Year. And, in the midst of all this, we have embarked on the search for a new Dean.

The wonderful videos available through this site give a glimpse of who we are at Trinity Cathedral and what we are about. You can see the richness of our common worship, the beauty of our restored Cathedral, and the excitement and energy of our young children, youth and adults. You can also hear the glorious voices of our choristers who so enrich our worship. What is not as plainly visible from videos but is no less real is the deep commitment of the people of Trinity Cathedral to serving others in our parish, in the community, in our nation and in the world.

Even as we prepare to celebrate our Bicentennial, we know that Trinity’s best years lie ahead. The need to love one another and to live and spread the Good News through all that we do and all that we are has never been greater. Our prayer is that our new Dean will share both our appreciation for our rich history and our realization that our work is not yet done.
